Intarsia

The word in-tarsiā€a derives from the Arabic word tarsi, a technique of handcraft decoration.

In Intarsia knitwear, the craftsman can juggle up to 20 different coloured yarns during the knitting process in order to create a design on the garment.

Unlike the techniques of embroidery or Jacquard where a pattern is added to the fabric, Intarsia integrates the pattern into the fabric hence creating a light yet warm and colourful garment. Each Intarsia piece can take up to 24 hours to complete by our skilled craftsmen.
